The 2018 conference takes place in the iconic Royal College of Music and Drama, in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, South Wales.
This year for the first time ever, the Association of Directors of Social Services (ADSS) Cymru and Social Care Wales are working in partnership to deliver a unique conference experience. This joint event will be the foremost showcase and networking opportunity for the social care sector in Wales, with something for every care workforce member – from those who work on the frontline in social services, social care, early years and childcare in Wales to directors and senior managers of local authority social services, as well as social work and social care students.
Our anticipated attendance of over 600 delegates will also include Welsh Assembly Members, Welsh Government civil servants, elected council members, and senior managers from the voluntary, independent, health, education and housing sectors.
The main conference will be preceded by a Well-being Festival, from late afternoon until 19.00 on Tuesday 11 September, featuring a range of engaging events and activities that promote physical, mental, emotional and social health, and delegates are encouraged to explore and take part in these. This will be followed by the conference reception with drinks and canapés.
