Foster Wales is pleased to present the final report of the National Fostering Framework (NFF) covering the years 2018 to 2021. It reports how the sector successfully met the original aims for the NFF which was part of the Ministerial Advisory Group for Improving Outcomes for Children programme.
The report outlines the journey in developing a co-ordinated Wales wide approach to supporting foster care services in Wales. This includes specific initiatives, regional work programmes, improved data & information as well as a co-ordinated team approach to improving local authority fostering services through local authority, regional and Wales wide arrangements.
It concludes with the creation of Foster Wales through which Welsh local authority fostering services will now be working together to build better futures for local children.
I would very much like to thank all stakeholders for their contribution to the journey of the National Fostering Framework and the positive changes outlined in the report.
The report is being posted on the websites for the WLGA, ADSS Cymru and AFA Cymru.
